Injil - definition of Injil in Encyclopedia
The Injil (the Arabic word for the Christian Gospels) is, according to Islam, one of the three holy books revealed by Allah prior to the Qur'an - the others being the Zabur ( Psalms) and the Tawrat ( Torah).
As revealed in the Quran, Muslims believe that humans have corrupted the words of God and thus Injil and Tawrat is no longer available as it was revealed except the Quran Which God promises that he will protect it.
Together the Tawrat, Zabur, Injil and Qur'an make up the revealed books of Islam.

The Tawrat is mentioned with honour as having been, in its purity, a true revelation from Allah.
Nor is it correct to translate Tawrat as the "Pentateuch", a Greek term meaning the "five books", known as Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.
For Isa's true preaching see commentary of verses 72 to 74 of this surah; and for tawaffaytani (you took me up) see commentary of Ali Imran: 55.

The original Tawrat contained guidance (huda) and light (nur) in order to dispel the darkness of ignorance, in accordance with which the Israelite prophets, who had submitted to Allah (aslamu), gave instructions to the Jews, as did the rabbis and priests who remembered the true wordings of the original book.
It should be noted that although the original Tawrat had been corrupted by the Jews but some important and basic essentials were kept safe in the memory of some of their honest scholars; whereas Allah Himself has taken the responsibility of keeping the Quran in original form without any additions or omissions (Hijr: 9).
Only the prophets and the pious divines who had submitted to Allah, were entrusted with the responsibility of giving judgements according to the Tawrat.

 Are the other books important?
It is commanded by Allah that we believe the Tawrat, Zabur, and Injil, along with all that Allah has revealed.
The Tawrat was revealed first, then the Zabur, and finally the Injil.
These books were still in existence when Al-Koran came into this world, for the Koran states again and again that Tawrat, Zabur, and Injil must be believed.

These are Tawrat (Torah) of Musa (Moses), Zabur (Psalms) of Dawud (David), Injil (Gospel) of Isa (Jesus) and the Quran revealed to Muhammad (pbuh).

There is no need for any other code or Divine scripture after the Holy Quran, and the prophethood of Hadrat Muhammad has been proclaimed for all.

 The Bible in Islam
According to the Quran, to Moses, the "Tawrat" (Torah) had been revealed; to King David, the "Zubur" (Psalms); and to Jesus, the "Injil" (Evangelium).
The Torah, the Psalms, and the "Gospel" represented for the author the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.
Objective Jews and Christians, he felt, would recognize that he was exactly such a prophet as those who had come before, and that he fulfilled all the conditions called for in the Books.

The Injil (the Arabic word for the Christian Gospels, from the Greek evangel) is, according to Islam, one of the three holy books revealed by Allah prior to the Qur'an - the others being the Zabur ( Psalms) and the Tawrat ( Torah).
Together, these four books make up the revealed books of Islam.

 Islam - Encyclopedia.WorldSearch
It is popularly held by the vast majority of Muslims that the Holy Tawrat (revelation given to Moses) and the Holy Injil (revelation given to Jesus Christ) have been corrupted over time and that the present day Bible and Torah share little or no resemblance to the original message.
According to Islam, Muhammad was sent during a time of spiritual darkness and once the Qur'an was finally established, all past revelations were abrogated, making the Last Testament not only for the Arab nation but for all mankind until the Day of Judgement.

The Divine Verdict On the Bible
Besides this confirming the divine origin of Tawrat was also one of the main mission of Isa (Jesus).
These facts beside others resulted in the spearheaded campaign against Islaam by the authorities of Judaism and Christianity since the birth of Islaam to discredit the message of Prophet Muhammad by hook, nook, and crook.
Many Qur’aanic Ayaat precisely states that Prophet Muhammad was explicitly mentioned with detailed description in the Tawrat and Injeel.

The other method was merely to accept the authority of the Church.

And if they had kept up the Tawrat and the Injil and that which was revealed to them from their Lord, they would certainly have eaten from above them and from beneath their feet;...
See how the Qur'an calls on the Christian religious leaders and monks, and Jewish monks as to why they do not forbid their followers from lying and eating what is unlawfully acquired.
In the manner the Holy Qur'an reproves the usurers among Muslims with regard to usury, it reproves in the same manner the Jews - in whose religion usury is actually forbidden - questioning them as to why they engage in usury and lying.

There are Muslim friends who acknowledge that the Torah (Tawrat), the Psalms (Zabur), the Injil and the books of the prophets were given by God.
However some say that these books which are all found in the Bible are now abrogated or cancelled, "mansukh" [ 1 ].

The Integrity of the Bible according to the Qur'an and the Hadith
As well as the Gospel, Jesus is taught "the Scripture and Wisdom and the Tawrat" (3:48).
To say that God has taken the Injil and the Tawrat into heaven and has abrogated them is to defame and slander God.
The true Injil, the true Tawrat and other Holy Books are no longer with you." Thus Muslims throughout the centuries have charged Christians with changing the text of their Scriptures.

 Welcome to SACO
The Quran however endorses the existence and truth of the previous books of the Tawrat (Law of Moses) and the Injil (Gospel of Jesus) included in the Bible and claims that it confirms what is written in them;
“ After those prophets We sent forth Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming the Tawrat already revealed, and gave him the Injil, in which there is guidance and light, corroborating that which was revealed before it in the Tawrat, a guide and an admonition to the righteous.
This theory would seem to question the Quran’s own recommendation for people to consult and judge by the previous Scriptures of the Tawrat and Injil.

The Integrity of the Bible according to the Qu'ran
By the time this Surah was written, the text of the Tawrat had been around for many centuries, scattered throughout most of the known world in various Jewish communities.
Perhaps the reason for this is that many muslims feel that the Scriptures of the Jews and Christians have now been corrupted.
If this is so, surely the Old Testament should be read by all muslims seeking further confirmation of the truth of the Qu'ranic revelation.

The past revealed books are recognized and believe in Islam and by Muslims such as "Tawrat, Injil and Zabur." But please don't mistake them with the Bible or the Books Jews and Christians have today.
To answer your first question, no, the torah, injeel, etc have all been corrupted since the original form was lost and the scriptures have been re-worded many times and new versus and entire books added and removed time and time again, therefore these books cannot be used as an authentic source to gain divide knowledge.

In addition, we will also consider verses from the Holy Tawrat to learn how the Pharisees carried out their rituals.
From these examples, we can see that the Pharisees actually accomplished much more in the way of "good works" or ritual service toward Allah than is practiced in most other religions, including Islam.

ummah.com forum - The Muslim Attitude Towards The Gospels!
Muslims strictly deny that the original Tawrat and the original Injeel existed at the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Then Al-Qurtubi put forward the argument that the disciples of Jesus were not Prophets, hence not protected from impurity, and an unbroken chain of reporters has not proved the miraculous events ascribed to them.
“The present gospels, which are called evangels, are not the same “Injeel”, which the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) alluded to in the words: ‘And Allaah revealed the Tawrat and Injeel for the guidance of earlier people.’”
