 Salmoneus: A Most Progressive Character
Despite there being no paycheck at the end of the day, Salmoneus definitely looked like a man who enjoyed what he was doing.
Although the prince is first seen as the hedonistic drinking companion of the jocular Falstaff, he throws off that aspect completely to live up to his responsibilities when he becomes the King.
I am not surprised that the writers went that way.

Autolycus and Salmoneus find themselves trapped inside the lamp along with many other men who didn't get their last wish, some because they were already satisfied (like a shepherd who loved his sheep).
Autolycus and Salmoneus agree that this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Very silly but great fun, this episode offered some comic relief from the very dark Hercules arc and let Autolycus and Salmoneus do what they do best.

The lighting in this map is another quality aspect which really shows that Salmoneus has definitely matured as a mapper.
The next challenge (says I cracking my knuckles and looking challengingly at him) is to get bots to navigate elevators with doors (so he can teach me!!!
Salmoneus has mastered the art of coronas, and in a true show of marvelous restraint, he hasn't gone berserk with them like some mappers do when they first find out how to do coronas.

We also meet up with Salmoneus, or Lord Seltzer as he is known in the village.
This is one of the most emotional episodes as Salmoneus and Gabrielle have to deal with Xena dying - as they think - and both Trebor and Renee O`Connor are so good that the episode is a real tear jerker.

Incidently, this is Salmoneus' 1st appearance on the Xena series, but Sal and Xena go way back from when she was on the Hercules series.

The flow of the map is very good, and there is only one dead end, but this is well removed from the majority of the action and has some goodies to encourage you to make the small detour.
Salmoneus has them diving underwater into that one deadend I mentioned just to pick up that bio-rifle.
He clearly knows quite a bit about using the editor, and if he continues to hone his skills I think we can expect some great maps from him.

Trebor made a strong impression and was soon cast as Salmoneus, a semi regular in the first series of Hercules, where he appeared alongside Lucy Lawless in three episodes.
Bob - as his pals call him - has directed one Hercules episode, and has a fine singing voice.
Really more of a Hercules character, Salmoneus famously dressed as a woman, Salmonella, in the very funny Hercules episode Men in Pink.A good hearted man, Salmoneus has proved himself a good friend to Hercules and Xena over the years.
