Philosophic Differences between Rambam & Ramban
Rambam argued strongly against the view that Hezekiah hid the book because people were putting their faith in medical books and not in G-d as the ultimate Healer.
Rambam declared that he had read all the extant astrological books, and decried the fact that people naturally give credence to any doctrine that is recorded in a text, even if it is nonsense.
He states that the types of sacrificial animals to be used in the holy temple (Bet Hamikdash) were chosen specifically because they were considered to be gods by the pagan religions that abounded at that time and some that are still existent.

The Rambam ZT"L - Reb Moshe Ben Maimon
Although the Rambam firmly believed in his approach, he never reproached those who criticized him, but rather listened to their comments and examined them to see if they were justified.
A year after the Rambam wrote Iggeres Hashmad, a virulent anti-Semite incited the Moslem ruler against the Rambam, claiming that he had mocked the Islamic religion.
The Rambam also influenced Tzalach Ed-Din to call a halt to the decrees and persecutions and, as a result, those Yemenite Jews who had converted to Islam on the surface returned to their faith in full.

 Rambam - biography, books, quotes.
One of their main claims was about the belief in resurrection, saying that Rambam says in his books that it will be only for souls and not for bodies, regardless of his "Iggeret Tchiyat Hameitim".
Rambam's books spread quickly all over the world, and there started to be many questions about his books.
Most of the Rabbis appreciated the books, and many times they asked Rambam for the source of some Halachot in "Mishneh Torah" and he would answer every one of them, bringing a source and explaining the Halacha.

 Moreh Nevuchim Chapter 26
Rambam seems to reject the possibility that mitsvot were commanded simply for the sake of God’s Will, when that might not be as purposeless as was true in the Creation of the World.
In fact, Rambam cites the verse "amarti ehkemah, ve-hi rehoqah mi-meni, I thought I would be wise, but it was far from me" along with the Midrash that Shlomo haMelekh understood the reasons behind all the mitsvot except for the Red Heifer (Parah Adumah for the Hebraists among you) as support for his view.
Rambam applies this idea most explicitly (and famously) to the realm of sacrifices.
