The Coptic Orthodox Church is a member of the Oriental Orthodox churches, not to be mistaken with the Eastern Orthodox group of churches.
The following is a list of all the Coptic Popes (or Popes of Egypt) who have led the Coptic Orthodox Church since the Council of Chalcedon.
The Coptic Orthodox Church has its own Pope (or Patriarch), who is currently His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark.
