The Last Supper - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This belief is based on the chronology of the Synoptic Gospels, but the chronology in the Gospel of John has the Last Supper occurring before the Passover, for in that Gospel, Christ's death occurs at the time of the slaughter of the Passover lambs (this latter chronology is the one accepted by the Orthodox Church).
The Last Supper is remembered by Roman Catholics as one of the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary, and by Protestants as the "inauguration of the New Covenant", mentioned by the prophet Jeremiah, fulfilled by Jesus at the Last Supper, when He said, "Take, eat; this [bread] is My Body; which is broken for you.
In Christianity, the Last Supper was the last meal Jesus shared with his apostles before his death.

The Last Supper (Leonardo) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It represents the scene of The Last Supper from the final days of Jesus as depicted in the Bible.
The Last Supper specifically portrays the reaction given by each apostle when Jesus said one of them would betray him.
There are only 12 people in the scene though, with no one exactly in the centre (where Jesus would be), possibly to avoid offending Christians and since, muslims see Jesus as a prophet of Allah, portrayal of any of islam's prophets (in media) is offending to muslims.

The Last Supper by LEONARDO da Vinci
There are differing opinions amongst art researchers as to which episode from the Gospels is depicted in the Last Supper.
Leonardo's Last Supper is not a depiction of a simple or sequential action, but interweaves the individual events narrated in the Gospels, from the announcement of the presence of a traitor to the introduction of the Eucharist, to such an extent that the moment depicted is a meeting of the two events.
Some consider it to portray the moment at which Jesus has announced the presence of a traitor and the apostles are all reacting with astonishment, others feel that it also represents the introduction of the celebration of the Eucharist by Jesus, who is pointing to the bread and wine with his hands.
