 Scripture Catholic - The Church
The Church is Hierarchical (Bishops, Priests and Deacons)
The Church is an extension of the Incarnation.
For that to happen, the Church must be protected from teaching error on faith and morals (or she wouldn't be endowed with the wisdom of God).

Papal infallibility - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The visible Church of Christ is a congregation of faithful men, in which the pure Word of God is preached, and the Sacraments be duly ministered according to Christ's ordinance, in all those things that of necessity are requisite to the same.
In Catholic theology, papal infallibility is one of the four channels of the Infallibility of the Church.
Many of the Church Fathers spoke of ecumenical councils and the Bishop of Rome as possessing a reliable authority to teach the content of Scripture and tradition.

Infallibility of the church: an unorthodox perspective: Theandros - Online Journal of Orthodox Christian Theology and ...
Infallibility is the attribute of the Church whereby, through the power of the Holy Spirit residing in her, the teaching entrusted to her is safeguarded from all error and the word of truth is rightly upheld.
Bearer and Organ of the Infallibility of the Church
[15] Harkianakis uses the phrases 'the conscience of the Church', 'the voice of the Church', and 'the mind or phronema of the Church' as synonyms for 'the organ of the expression of the Church's infallibility' (pp.59-74).

Ground of Faith In The Scriptures, by Charles Hodge
The prelates are not the church, to be pope is not the church.
According to the ultramontane doctrine, the pope is the seat and centre of this prerogative; according to the Gallican doctrine, it resides in the prelates.
The word "church" is always a collective term for the called, the chosen, the true people of God; and what is said of the church and of its prerogatives, belongs only to those who are thus called and sanctified.

 Conciliar Infallibility: Church Documents
This infallibility, however, with which the divine redeemer wished to endow his Church in defining doctrine pertaining to faith and morals, is co-extensive with the deposit of revelation, which must be religiously guarded and loyally and courageously expounded.
889 In order to preserve the Church in the purity of the faith handed on by the apostles, Christ who is the Truth willed to confer on her a share in his own infallibility.
We decided moreover that all that has been established synodally is to be religiously observed by all the faithful, for the glory of God and the dignity of the Church and for the tranquillity and peace of all men.

Reply to Salmon's Infallibility -- Anglican George Salmon anti-Catholic book on Papacy
Like the Catholic Church, it holds that Jesus of Nazareth was the Revealer of divine and final truth to mankind, the Founder of true Christianity.
The classic refutation of papal infallibility was written by George Salmon, The Infallibility of the Church (1914).
There was a school of Anglican divines who took as their criterion of doctrine not the living voice of the contemporary Church but (for some reason not easily apparent) the first four or five centuries of Christian history.

CRITICAL NOTICE: Regarding the Infallibility of the Church; Theandros - Online Journal of Orthodox Christian Theology ...
The Holy Church is referred to in the New Testament as "The Kingdom of God", founded by our Lord Jesus Christ, who empowered the holy apostles to bring the Church into the entire world, led by the Holy Spirit, the Comforter whom He sent "to guide you into all truth (John 16:13)".
Because the Holy Church believes that Christ is God incarnate, His words must be regarded as the revealed will of God.
To argue that the Church is not infallible when it comes to her dogmatic and moral teaching would thus be a contradictory if not ludicrous waste of time.

 Infallibility And Church Eldership
I do not expect to be infallible until by the Lord's grace I shall share a part in the First Resurrection; then, that which is perfect having come, that which is in part shall be done away; we shall see as we are seen and know as we are known.
And the Apostle's exhortation is, "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time"--when the perfection of the new body in harmony with the new mind shall have fully taken the place of present imperfections of the flesh.
Question.--Brother Russell: I received not long since a letter which set forth that you could not be considered infallible, because the writer alleges that you have changed your views respecting the propriety of the various gatherings of the Lord's people choosing from amongst their number Elders for the oversight of the Lord's work.

George Salmon’s Infallibiliy of the church
The Infallibility of the Church originated as a series of lectures delivered by Salmon (Provost of Trinity College, Dublin, and sometime Regius Professor of Divinity in the University of Dublin) to his class in the Divinity School of Dublin University.
His letters to the Asiatic Churches are full of exhortations to obey the bishop and to be united to him; but in his letter to the Church of Rome no hint is given that there is a bishop entitled to the obedience (not to say of foreign Christians, but even) of his own people.
In apostolic times a Church would separate from her communion a member who had disgraced himself by immorality of a scandalous kind; so in like manner would one be rejected who denied the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith.

The Infallibility of the Catholic Church (Pastoral Letter by Bishop Pivarunas, CMRI)
The Church was endowed with infallibility that it might safeguard the whole of Christ’s doctrine and be for all men a trustworthy teacher of the Christian way of life.
The attribute of infallibility means the inability and impossibility of the Teaching Magisterium to err when teaching the universal Church on matters of faith and morals.
The reason for this lengthy explantion of the Church’s property of infallibility is that this is the strongest argument against the Conciliar Church of Vatican Council II.

That Man's knowledge and experience is extended to the Church from Pentecost on.
Thus in the Church of Christ, the visible communion of Himself prolonged from Pentecost on no individual or collective human experience can supplant on his own.
