CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Devotion To the Heart of Mary
Devotion to the Heart of Jesus is especially directed to the Divine Heart as overflowing with love for men, and it presents this love to us as despised and outraged.
Just as devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is only a form of devotion to the adorable Person of Jesus, so also is devotion to the Holy Heart of Mary but a special form of devotion to Mary.
Another Scriptural passage to help in bringing out the devotion was the twice-repeated saying of St. Luke, that Mary kept all the sayings and doings of Jesus in her heart, that there she might ponder over them and live by them.

CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary
Nevertheless we may believe that the simple faith and devotion of the people was often rewarded in proportion to their honest intention of paying respect to the Mother of God.
It is not without significance that we are told of the Apostles after the Ascension of Christ, that "all these were persevering with one mind in prayer with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren" (Acts 1:14).
Not less remarkable are the developments of devotion to the Mother of God in Ireland.

Devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary Its Origin and History --------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Sacred Scripture The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are mentioned explicitly only briefly in the text of the New Testament.
It was his mission to organize the scriptural, theological, patristic, and liturgical sources relating to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary and to popularize them with the approbation of the Church.
Venerable Pope Pius IX extended the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to the entire Catholic Church in 1858 A. And Pope Leo XIII approved the litany to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Devotion to St. Joseph - Catholic Faith - March/April 99
Devotion to Joseph is ecclesial because the Church in her liturgy and in the writings of her popes and saints has zealously encouraged the faithful to go to Joseph.
Devotion to Joseph is Christocentric and Marian because devotion to Joseph brings one to closer union with Jesus and Mary.
In the early Church, devotion to St. Joseph was not widespread, though neither was it unknown, especially in the East.

 C:\Documents\PiusXII\aquas.html
Were it not so, the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ would be out of harmony with the whole spirit of the Christian religion, since man would not direct his homage, in the first instance, to the divine love.
Rather, this devotion is a form of piety that fully corresponds to the true spiritual worship which the Savior Himself foretold when speaking to the woman of Samaria: "The hour cometh, and now is, when the true adorers shall adore the Father in spirit and in truth.
And so we can easily understand that the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, of its very nature, is a worship of the love with which God, through Jesus, loved us, and at the same time, an exercise of our own love by which we are related to God and to other men.

 Ecumenical Miracle Rosary
I was struck by the power of the rosary devotion because it allows one to meditate on the mysteries while saying the prayers.
I call the rosary "ecumenical", since the prayers and "miracles" are either directly from the Bible or are derived from the Bible.
I also want Catholics to understand that the Ecumenical Miracle Rosary is in no way meant to be a replacement for the Most Holy Rosary, and it is for that reason it includes different prayers and meditates specifically on Christ's miracles performed during his life on earth.
