Resurrection of Christ (WebBible Encyclopedia) - ChristianAnswers.Net
esus Christ's resurrection from the dead is one of the cardinal facts and doctrines of the gospel.
The resurrection is a public testimony of Christ's release from his undertaking as surety, and an evidence of the Father's acceptance of his work of redemption.
The importance of Christ's resurrection will be seen when we consider that if he rose the gospel is true, and if he rose not it is false.

Jesus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Judaism rejects both the Christian belief that Jesus was the Messiah and the Muslim belief that he was a prophet.
Generally speaking, Most Christians believe that Jesus is part of a Trinity of three aspects of God, is the Son of God and the Messiah, came to earth to save mankind from sin and death through the crucifixion, and then rose from the dead three days later and ascended to Heaven.
Muslims believe that Jesus was one of God's most beloved and important prophets and also the Messiah, though they attach a different meaning to this than Christians, as they do not share the Christian belief in the divinity of Jesus.

 A Sinner's Justification Before God
Christ’s righteousness is not upon us, in the sense of the gospel, before faith; for the gospel is express, that it is to and upon us, in a way of believing; and should men or angels tell us the contrary, we are not to regard them.
Christ, as the Lord our righteousness, fills both testaments with his glory; for thus considered he is the sum of the Old Testament promises and prophecies, and the substance of Old Testament types and figures; and thus considered he is the treasure hid in the field of the New.
Christ, as the Lord our righteousness, has brought in such a way of knowing and of enjoying God, as the first Adam and his covenant were utter strangers to; to wit, a seeing God face to face, in the presence chamber of heaven, and a being filled with God, even with all his fulness.

For it has been stated that the Passion of Christ is applied to men through the sacraments: so that Christ's Passion is compared to the sacraments as cause to effect.

 Did Jesus Christ Really Live?
The Christ of Paul and the Jesus of the Gospels are two entirely different beings.
The Christ of the Gospels is shown to be artificial by the numerous contradictions in his character and teachings.
After his birth, Christ, as it were, vanishes out of existence, and with the exception of a single incident recorded in Luke, we hear absolutely nothing of him until he has reached the age of thirty years.

 Christ Pantocrator Descriptive Information
The oldest known icon of Christ Pantocrator was written in the sixth century and preserved in the remote monastery of St. Catherine in the Sinai desert.
Christ’s halo, the iconographic symbol for sanctity, is inscribed with a cross and the Greek letters omicron, omega, nu, spelling "HO ON." In English, this becomes "Who Am," the name used for God in Exodus 3:14.
The word Pantocrator is Greek, meaning "Ruler of All." The image expresses the central reality of the Christian faith; the Divine Majesty of the creator and ruler of all the world, made flesh and therefore visible to us in the person of Christ Jesus our redeemer.

 ICONS OF THE PATRIARCHAL HOUSE
This type of Christ Pantocrator, depicted in bust, making the sign of blessing and holding an open Gospel Book, was being customarily painted from the earlier centuries to the Paleologan age in the lunettes over the doorways of church narthexes.
The open Gospel Book is inscribed with the beginning of the Gospel according to St. Matthew: "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham".
The austere type of Christ Pantocrator depicted in this icon was to be gradually replaced by the so-called Palaeologan Christ with the gentle classicizing countenance.

Christmas Before Christ? The Surprising Story
Jesus Christ plainly tells us that "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24).
He goes on to explain that the autumn rains beginning in September or October in Judea would mean that the events surrounding Christ's birth recorded in the Scriptures could not have taken place later that mid-October, so Jesus' birth likely took place earlier in the fall (Hislop, p.92).
Christ reveals that Satan, the devil, is the father of lies (John 8:44).

THE ANTI CHRIST Unveiled by Richard Bennett
Depending on these physical signs instead of direct faith on the Lord Christ Jesus is the deception of the papacy which subtly deflects faith from the person of Christ to signs that are claimed to be powers.
To presume to take the place of Christ Himself as Prophet, Priest, and King, and to presume to act as in His person is clearly tantamount to “ sit[ting] as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.
This indicates that Satan’s design is to replace Christ with his own man. The stated objective is given in verse 4, “ Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
