 Commentary Magazine - Kabbalah
...With the sixth Sefirah, tiferet, the "mercy" or heart of God, we are in the aesthetic realm of God's "beauty," which for the Kabbalah is all the beauty there is...
...Kabbalah, which thus from the start was revisionary in regard to Genesis (though asserting otherwise), was also revisionary of its pagan source in Neoplatonism...
...These esoteric meditations were orthodox parallels to Gnostic reveries on the pleroma, the unfallen divine realm, and can be considered a kind of rabbinical quasi-Gnosticism, but not yet Kabbalah...

Chochma which is in Arich Anpin, and which does not illuminate in Atzilut, but only illuminates Chochma of the 32 Netivot.
Light which is dressed in the Kli of Binah.

 Human Energy Science
The Tarot cards associated with Binah are the Threes, symbolic of the Supernal Triad and of Divinity itself, and referring to creative manifestation.
There are many excellent books laying out the structure and meaning of Kabbalah, along a spectrum that ranges from the ultra-orthodox Judaic interpretation (which is the only correct one, of course) to the ultra-metaphysical or magical interpretation proposed by the Order of the Golden Dawn (which is also the only correct one).
Both Chokmah and Binah are associated with the Third Eye, center of insight and spiritual visualization.

“Elohim” is the only Name of God mentioned in Genesis 1, indicating that Binah was the Name of God and the driving force that brought forth the Heaven (Ze’ir Anpin) and the Earth (Nukva).
Binah is integrally connected with Chokhmah and Keter, but the original Light from God's absolute essence did not directly descend here.
MaH, the Supernal Will of the Forehead, is manifest as the action that takes the Creation of order out of chaos.

There is another aspect of God in Kabbalah, the "real God" or En Soph; although En Soph is responsible for the creation of the universe, En Soph manifests to us only in the limited form of the sephira Kether.
The archangel of Binah is Tzaphqiel; I have been told this means "Shroud of God", but I have not been able to verify this.
When we read in the Bible "In the beginning created God...", this God is Elohim.

 'arah.net Kabbalah
This does not mean Biblical Kabbalah is bad - to the contrary - those who speak against Biblical Kabbalah are going against the depth Elohim has provided for us to know Him as this Scripture states.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Da'at); because you have rejected knowledge (Da'at), I will also reject you, that you shall not be a priest to Me; seeing that you have forgotten the Torah of your Elohim, I will also forget your children.
Da'at means knowledge and joining and is the product of the joining of Chochmah (Wisdom/Mother) and Binah (Understanding/Father) and then down to produce Tiferet (The Son).

 Kabbalah FAQ
However, if you choose to study Kabbalah by name you should recognise that Kabbalah was and is a part of Judaism, and an important part of the history of Jewish people, and respect the beliefs which not only gave rise to Kabbalah, but which are still an essential part of Jewish faith..
Binah is the Mother of Form, the root of separation which forms the basis for all distinctions and finiteness.
Another aspect of Jewish religion which influenced Kabbalah was the Biblical phenomenon of prophecy.

 Kabbalistic Dictionary
It is the "bible" of the Kabbalah and its most influential work.
The Kabbalah teaches that the ten Sephiroth became reconstituted as five parzufim when the divine "breaking of the vessels" took place.
One of the earliest written accounts of Kabbalah, supposedly written by Simeon ben Yochai in about 70 C.E. This book seems to be a combination of earlier Merkabah Mysticism and newer Kabbalistic thought.

 Notes On Kabbalah
The person who taught me Kabbalah (a woman) told me Chokhmah (Abba, the Father) was God's prick, and Binah (Aima, the mother) was God's womb, and left me with the picture of one half of God continuously ejaculating into the other half.
I believe this may have something to do with the fact that meditations on Malkuth can easily become meditations on Binah, and meditations on Binah have a habit of slipping into the Abyss, and once in the Abyss it is easy to trawl up enough junk to "discover" an averse Tree "underneath" Malkuth.
According to the Gnosticism of Valentinus each person has a guardian angel who accompanies that individual throughout their life and reveals the gnosis; the angel is in a sense the divine Self.

 Kabbalah Blends Sefirot Oils
Kabbalah and Meditation by Aryeh Kaplan led me to purchase Sefer Yetzirah also written by him.
So I figured the ultimate oil in Assiah for Malkuth, the world of Action, the ultimate manifestation, would be the combination and Divine copulation between Chokmah (Ultimate Divine Maleness) in Assiah (action) and Binah (Ultimate Divine Femaleness) in Assiah.
Chokmah and Binah are the only two in Briah, World of Creation.

While binah and shamor refer to the feminine, chochmah and zachor (which means "remember" but shares a root with zachar meaning “male”) refer to the masculine.
t follows therefore that this prerequisite of learning to communicate with utmost sensitivity to the needs, interests, and abilities of the student, while remaining totally faithful to the material itself, is a function of the sefirah of binah ("understanding").

The Mysteries of A.I. - Jewish Symbolism v1.7
Kabbalah is an esoteric tradition passed on among Jewish mystics that deals with the secrets of the universe.
Think of it as a way God provided for man (who exists in the realm of the finite) to contemplate the infinite.
The ten views of God's power (Sefirot) that Kabbalah reveals to us are:

At this point the individual is ready for true understanding and wisdom and can now use the full power of Binah as a positive force in the Universe.

 Tarot.com :: Tarot, Astrology, Numerology & I-Ching
Much ink is spent bemoaning the way in which Luria unwittingly exposed the monotheist core of Judaism to accusations of harboring the Gnostic dualism (see "The Gnostic Tarot"), a charge that undercuts the Hebrew claim of being the original chosen people of the One True God.
It looked to the skeptical as if he were positing two worlds with two separate administrations, the unfallen "upper face" of the Supernal Triangle (Kether, Chokma and Binah), where the energies are still balanced, contrasted with the "Lower Face" of the planetary Sephira resting on Malkuth, the fallen and chaotic World.
So we have the Jews of the second century AD studying second century revivals of Pythagoras' writings from the seventh century BC, to find out what their Hebrew ancestors were doing in the eighteenth century BC!

Chokhmah (Kabbalah) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Chokmah is the highest of the sephirot attainable by mortals, King Solomon is the most obvious example in the Hebrew Bible of a man whose wisdom brought him closer to God.
It is also the "power of life", "light of the eyes" and of "pure altruistism" (together with Kether) and one of the three "spiritual" Sephirot that form the upper delta of the Tree of Life, to the bottom right of Keter, and with
Kabbalah of Judaism, is the uppermost of the Sephirot of the right line ( kav yamin which is also the "Pillar of Mercy").

Binah (Kabbalah) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Classical Jewish texts state Binah yeterah natun l'nashim ("an extra measure of Binah was given to women").
The aspect or attribute of being associated with the feminine, is why Binah is often associated with various occult things that reflect the females.
Binah is often defined as the ability to understand one thing from within another.

So do I. If I were a New Age kid, I'd say it's "destiny" that I should write about her new book.
You've surely read a lot more books than I have, so let me tell you the story of Madonna's book, and then let me list my questions, and maybe you can tell me what I'm missing.

The New Year: A Chassidic Meditation for the High Holidays, the Festival of Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah
T he first, higher "head" is the highest sefirah (Divine emanation), the supernal crown ( keter), whose physical image in the Kabbalah is the skull, situated above and encompassing the brain.
he first two days of the month of Tishrei are Rosh HaShanah, the New Year, literally "the head of the year." According to Kabbalah, there are two spiritual levels that are called "head."
In Kabbalah, binah is associated with the image of the "mother" who "cleanses" her "children" (the emotions, as we will presently explain) from their impurities.

 The Ten Sefirot: Binah
T he spiritual state identified in Chassidut as corresponding to the sefirah of binah is that of simchah (joy).
T he word binah derives from the root bein which means "between." The power of binah is to distinguish and differentiate between ideas.
For this reason it is symbolized in Kabbalah as "the wide river."

Thelema is a Greek word which means "Will", and which computes to the value of 93 in Greek Gematria, or numerology.
The traditional Qabalistic science from which modern numerology has evolved is called gematria.
Thus, concepts, notions, ideas and terms which were known as universal within Jewish culture were attributed specifically to Kabbalah by Christ ian thinkers (eg the gematria, which is a midrash ic method, becomes understood as Kabbalistic).
