Topic: Astrological age

JESUS CHRIST THE BEARER OF THE WATER OF LIFE
Some reckon the age of Aries was the time of the Jewish religion, the age of Pisces that of Christianity, Aquarius the age of a universal religion.
Age of Aquarius: each astrological age of about 2146 years is named according to one of the signs of the zodiac, but the “great days” go in reverse order, so the current Age of Pisces is about to end, and the Age of Aquarius will be ushered in.
The expression “New Age religion” is more controversial, so it seems best to avoid it, although New Age is often a response to people's religious questions and needs, and its appeal is to people who are trying to discover or rediscover a spiritual dimension in their life.

Since Pisces is the zodiac sign associated with the Jewish people, this astrological event would have meant the birth of a "King of the Jews", i.e., Jesus of Nazareth.
According to Timms, every 2,000 years or so there is a new astrological age because the earth's pole tilts in the direction of a new Zodiac constellation.
All in all, as Robertson Davies mentions above, there is reason to believe the end of the Age of Pisces, which started with the revelation of God through Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, is at hand.

Jung Talk - Predicting the future - astrology problem
Essentially, the Astrological Ages are determined by the movement of what is called the “vernal (spring) equinox point” amidst the backdrop of the sidereal constellation belt in the heavens.
Each Age lasts for approximately 2160 years, but there is much debate about the exact timing, because the Ages are based on the constellations in the heavens rather than on the seasons on which we base our Western Zodiac.
There are twelve Astrological Ages in total; one for each constellation of the zodiac.

Astrologers of the world community generally agree that mankind has experienced six separate "ages," dating from the first appearance of humanity on earth.
This age was followed by the Age of Aries (2000 BC to 1AD), a masculine, brawny sign, that was prevalent when the Greeks and Romans reigned.
The spiritual and religious Age of Pisces followed the Greek and Roman Age of Aries, which brings us to the Age of Aquarius.

 The Aquarian Age
The Aquarian Age will see the blending of religion and science to such a degree that a religious science and a scientific religion will be formed--each respecting and learning from the findings of the other--which will promote health, happiness, and enjoyment of life.
Since Aquarius is an airy, scientific, and intellectual sign, it is a forgone conclusion that the religion of that Age must be rooted in reason and able to solve the riddle of life and death in a manner that will satisfy both the mind and the religious instinct.
Thus there is a natural zodiac composed of stars in the heavens which change so little that it is imperceptible in one lifetime or even in several hundred years, and the intellectual zodiac which starts from the point of the vernal equinox for any year.

Astrological age - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An astrological age is the time taken for the vernal equinox to move through one constellation of the zodiac.
Since each sign of the zodiac subtends (on average) 30 degrees, each astrological age might be thought to last 70 × 30 = 2,100 years.
In other words, this means that the current astrological Age of Pisces began around the 5th century, since that was the last time that, astronomically, the vernal equinox occurred in the first point of the constellation Aries.

Additionally, the "cusps" of astrology (overlap between signs and houses) are between 3 and 4 degrees of arc and are based upon Pi (between 3 and 4).
Without reform, tropical astrology will just continue to be a part of what has truly been a period of great spiritual and metaphysical confusion and a self-fulfilling prophesy which enhances spiritual bondage.

The further fact that the Equinox still continues to fall in 0° Aries indicates that at some time since the beginning of the Christian era the fixed Zodiac of constellations was abandoned and the names reapplied to a moving Zodiac based upon the equinoctial point, then recognized as the beginning of the astrological year.
That the Zodiacal year seems at one period of history to have begun with Taurus indicates that these records date from between 2,000 and 4,000 B.C., during which period the equinoctial point fell in Taurus.

An Astrological Age - © Dr Shepherd Simpson
Astrological Ages] An Astrological Age is defined as: the period of time during which the Vernal Equinox Point can be found in a particular constellation.
Similarly, we would now say - follwing Jung - that the Age of Aries ended more than two thousand years ago when the Vernal Equinox Point moved out of the constellation of Aries and into the constellation of Pisces, as seen from Earth.
So it will be the Age of Aquarius when the Vernal Equinox Point moves out of the constellation of Pisces and into the constellation of Aquarius.
